Ecuador, Argentina Expand Cooperation

Buenos Aires, Sep 19 (Prensa Latina) Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa begins a visit to Argentina Tuesday to meet with his counterpart, Nestor Kirchner, and sign bilateral cooperation agreements.

According to his agenda, Correa will attend a welcome dinner at the chancellery, and sign several deals at Casa Rosada tomorrow..

The two presidents are expected to sign an inter-ministerial framework agreement on social insertion and a memorandum of understanding on industrial complementation in the metallurgic-mechanical sector.

They will also ink a first cooperation deal in agricultural health, and another for supply of food and medical material.

Public services, sports, mining, and oil will be other sectors for mutual teamwork.

During his 48-hour stay in Buenos Aires, Correa plans to visit Congress and meet with nongovernmental organizations and fellow citizens who are studying at the Madres de Plaza de Mayo University.
