Ecuador Election Materials Almost Ready

Quito, Apr 4 (Prensa Latina) All the election material including ballot papers, ballot count certificates and ballot boxes for the April 26 elections is 85 percent ready, according to the National Electoral Council (CNE).

It is expected the election material be ready ready next

week, CNE coordinator Alvaro Saenz stated.

Election officials toured Friday the Taski company facilities to check on the printing of all voting papers and stated they are almost ready.

Printed documents are being sent to the Montgar company, in charge of preparing 45,246 electoral packages to be distributed in the country's 24 provincial councils.

About 10.5 million Ecuadorans will vote elect the country´s president and vice president, 124 National Assembly members, municipal mayors, and provincial prefects, among others.

They also elect about 6,000 public representatives out of 10,000 candidates from 18 political movements and parties.

This will be the most complex electoral process in the history of Ecuador.
