The 130 assembly members, of which 80 belong to the Country Alliance Movement led by President Rafael Correa, will draw up a new Constitution, to end the prevailing neoliberal model.
This concern in approving laws and resolutions to deepen the process of reforms began in this country on January 15, with Correa's inauguration.
Among aims are political, economic and social revolutions, advances towards a planning and national system, building a society of producers and owners, and achieving an active and participative democracy.
The new Constitution must also recover rights to property, housing, social security, and healthy environment, as well as vindicate education and free health.
The Constituent Assembly's protocol act will be carried out Friday in Ciudad Alfaro, architectural complex located in Montecristi, Manabi.
As of Monday, the country will start debates of the Assembly's internal ruling to adopt the first resolutions, among them the dissolution of the National Congress.
