Ecuador's Correa Confirms Katiuska King To Replace Diego Borja

QUITO -(Dow Jones)- Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa confirmed Saturday he has accepted the resignation of his minister of economic policy coordination, Diego Borja, who will be replaced by Katiuska King, a high official from the National Planning Secretary Office.

During his weekly media address, Correa also said Jaime Guerrero will Replace Jorge Glas as minister of telecommunications.

Correa requested all his ministers to submit their resignations in order to reshuffle his cabinet.

As part of the cabinet reshuffle, Correa has also accepted the resignation of several ministers, including Diego Borja; Galo Borja, Minister of Strategic Sectors; Minister of Social Inclusion Maria de los Angeles Duarte, Minister of Industries, Xavier Abad, and Minister of Transportation and Public Works David Ortiz.

Correa said 8 new ministers are scheduled to be sworn in Monday, but he didn't provide more details.
