When inaugurating the Eloy Alfaro architectonic complex Tuesday, Correa highlighted "it will headquarter an Assembly that will allow the people to have a sovereign, democratic Constitution."
"The Assembly will enable to radically change structural institutionality in the country, so that the people's revolution can advance rapidly," the president stressed in Montecristi, Manabi province, where the facility is located.
"Nothing will stop the radical constitutional reform," he asserted, and warned of attempts "trying to disarticulate the popular process," which will draw up Ecuador's 20th Constitution in Montecristi.
Correa called for the Assembly members to take advantage of this unrepeatable historic opportunity, and "not to be led to the trap of those who are trying to split us apart."
"Let's march with decision, with our hands clean and our minds clear to accomplish the mission," the president sustained.
