Correa Fights Unfair Ecuador Wealth

Quito, Sep 7 (Prensa Latina) Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa affirmed his country needs an urgent change, saying "we cannot take misery and exploitation any longer."

The nation has many who try to remain with their privileges in the capitalist system and that is the reason why they are in opposition to change, Correa stated in interview with a local TV channel.

He pointed out he will spent his four year government period "on permanent campaign," and that people need to raise their self-esteem and morale.

"Since January, at the time I took office, our homeland began to be reconstructed and we are trying to change the correlation of current economic forces in order to achieve a better distribution of national wealth," he assured.

Correa defended the setting up of the Constituent Assembly September 30.
