Ecuador Party Assembly Candidates

Quito, Jun 15 (Prensa Latina) Alianza Pais movement, of Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa, is presenting on Friday, the list of over 100,000 signatures and candidates to the National Constituent Assembly to the Electoral Supreme Court.

The ministers of energy, Alberto Acosta, and transportation, Trajano Andrade are among those disputing a seat at the Constituent Assembly.

Both officials tendered their resignation to Correa, likely to be made official today of tomorrow, during the governmental meeting to be held in El Coca, capital of Orellana province.

It was revealed that presidential communication secretary, Monica Chuji, also made known her resignation to run for Amazonia.

In the meantime, Correa rejected the resignations of the ministers of economy, Ricardo Patino, and defense, Lorena Escudero.
