Ecuador Minister Death, Human Error

Quito, Feb 28 (Prensa Latina) A human error caused the helicopter crash on January 24, in which the Ecuadorian Minister of Defense Guadalupe Larriva died, Leonardo Barreiro, leading the International Commission in charge of investigating that disaster, informed on Wednesday.
There was no evidence of sabotage or technical flaws in the two helicopters, which crash caused the death of Larriva, her daughter Claudia Avila and five members of the Army, Barreiro noted.
He said they are presently working with the photocopying of the 1,200-page report that will be delivered to the Armed Forces Joint Command on Thursday, then to the Ministry of Defense, and later to Carondelet Palace (Presidential Palace)
Ecuador President Rafael Correa confirmed yesterday that the international commission had completed its investigations, but did not reveal its conclusions.
